Ministry of Energy has the main
responsibility to carry out Exploration and Production
of Crude Oil and Natural Gas, Refining, Manufacturing
of Petrochemicals and Transportation, Distribution
of Petroleum Products.
Energy Planning Department (EPD)
EPD is the technical arm of the Ministry and
has overall responsibility for Energy Policy Formulation
within the Ministry of Energy and coordination,
discussion and negotiation of Energy Development
Programme.
EPD consist of 3 divisions, namely :
1. Production Planning Division,
2. Economic Planning Division, and
3. General Planning Division

Plant, Cement Factories, Paper Mills and other industries.

of Crude Oil and Natural Gas to produce Petroleum
Products and Petrochemicals Products such as Urea
Fertilizer, Methanol , Liquefied Petroleum Gas,

and Transportation of Petroleum Products and Petrochemical
Products.
